B.Sc.Nautical Science

Approved by The Directorate General of Shipping,Government of India. Leading to Second Mate’s Foreign-Going Certificate of Competency awarded by the D.G. Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India after twelve months of Sea Service. This enables the cadets to become Navigating Officers on board Merchant Navy Ships worldwide.

Course Duration: 3 years or 6 semesters residential course.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification A pass in Plus-two (12th Standard) or its equivalent, with minimum 45% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and at least 50% marks in English.
Age Below 25 years at the time of commencement of the course
Gender Boys and Girls are eligible to apply

Medical Standard Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight 6/6 in better eye, 6/9 in other eye and with no colour blindness.

Mode of Selection Written/Personal/Medical Examination.

B.E.Marine Engineering

Graduate Marine Engineering (GME)

The one year Presea Training course for Graduates (GME) is a course leading to Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency, awarded by the ministry of shipping Government of India, after six months of sea service, enabling the cadets to become Marine Engineers on board Merchant Naval ships anywhere in the world.

Course Duration: 1 year residential course.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification Candidate should have B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture with Minimum 50% marks in final year. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% in English at 10th or 12th standard or degree course.
Age Maximum 28 years of age at the time of commencement of the course
B.E.Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering

This course is formulated to obtain expertise in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering so that on completion of the degree, the candidates are eligible to occupy Engineer/managerial positions in various Government and private Shipyards, Ship Design offices, Boatyards, Classification Societies, and Offshore companies within India and abroad.

Course Duration: 4 years or 8 semesters

Qualification A pass in Plus-Two ( 12 th Standard ) or its equivalent, with minimum 50% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and 55% marks in English from recognized Board.
Age Below 25 years at the time of commencement of the course.
Gender Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply.

B.E.Harbour & Ocean Engineering
B.E. Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Marine)

This course is designed to enable the engineers coming out of the stream to work on board the ship as electrical engineers. They can also work on marine related industries. Jobs with shipyards, dry docks, ship machinery manufacturers are some of the other fields they can look into.

Our specialized course is having a well balanced curriculum which meets both theory and practical with the same emphasis. We are having a number of practical exercises which enable the students to have good exposure to electrical circuit building and fault finding. Our advanced automation laboratory is designed to meet the latest technology available on board the ship. We have both theoretical and practical exposure on high voltage systems. A most modern simulator is available in the campus to expose the students and opportunity to learn the ships operation and fault finding.
